Chris J. Walker
Chris Walker has very broad experience involving many areas of law, but recently has limited his practice to litigation involving personal injury, wrongful death and insurance. Chris has extensive litigation experience having been the Chief Assistant District Attorney in the Northeastern Judicial Circuit, and since having acted as lead attorney in well over 1,000 civil lawsuits. He was given the highest available AV Pre-eminent rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Lawyers Peer Review Ratings, and has a stellar record in the Georgia Appellate Courts. His 39+ years of litigation and trial experience provides him with a unique ability to attain the best results possible for his clients. Chris was formerly a partner with Carey, Jarrard & Walker, which later merged to form Whelchel, Dunlap, Jarrard & Walker where he practiced until 2020.
Chris was on the original board of directors of Challenged Child, Inc., now known as Sisu. He has served on the board of RING, Georgia Mountain Food Bank, and former Chairman of Church Council at First United Methodist Church in Gainesville. He and his wife, Kay, have also been active in area homeless ministries. His hobbies include cycling, hiking, woodworking, and cooking. He successfully completed the famed 100 mile Six Gap Ride in the North Georgia mountains at age 48, and is still an active member of the ISI Cycling Group.
