Kassandra Lawson

Before joining Hulsey, Oliver and Mahar in 2020, Kassandra (“Kas”) Lawson was an associate at Whelchel, Dunlap, Jarrard & Walker where her primary area of practice was insurance defense.  Prior to her time in private practice, Kas served as Staff Attorney to Judge B.E. Roberts, III and Judge Charles S. Wynne in the State Court of Hall County for approximately seven years.

She received her law degree from Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law, in 2011 and earned her undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in Legal Studies, from Berry College in 2008.

Since moving to the Gainesville area in 2012, Kas has been active and involved in the local community. She was the recipient of the 2017 Leadership Award for her service and contribution to the legal profession. She is a member of the E. Wycliff Orr Inn of Court and is currently serving as the Secretary of the Gainesville-Northeastern Bar Association, where she had previously served as the Young Lawyer’s Division President. She is a graduate of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Hall County Class of 2019 and currently serves as Secretary of the Georgia Mountain Food Bank Board.
