Jason A. Dean

Joining the firm in 2002, Mr. Dean specializes in business law, civil litigation, and estate administration.  While Mr. Dean has a diverse business practice, he has a particular emphasis on the food and ingredient industries, where he represents a number of clients in business and litigation matters.

He is licensed to practice law in all Georgia state courts, the U.S. District Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Dean is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Gainesville-Northeastern Circuit Bar Association.  He is a member of the Orr Inn of Court.

Mr. Dean holds a B.S. degree in biology with a double major in political science from Virginia Tech. He has a J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Following law school, Mr. Dean served as Law Clerk to the Honorable John E. Girardeau, Judge Northeastern Judicial Circuit.

Mr. Dean has extensive experience at both the trial and appellate level, and has practiced on multiple occasions before Georgia trial courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, United States District Courts, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He represents corporations, banks, and individuals on multiple levels, from contracts to litigation.

Jason remains active in community and charitable organizations, having served as a member and Director of the Gainesville Jaycees, as a director of a non-profit recovery home for women, and as a director, officer, and President of the North Hall Community Education Foundation.  Jason and his family are members of Gainesville First United Methodist Church, where he enjoys teaching Sunday School to youth members of the church.
