Thomas L. Fitzgerald
Tom Fitzgerald joined Hulsey, Oliver & Mahar in 1988. He has been practicing law for over 32 years. He has litigation experience in both state and federal courts involving land valuation in eminent domain cases, and litigation experience in the state courts in ad valorem taxation cases. He specializes in land and easement acquisition for state and local governments, including the Georgia Department of Transportation and Georgia counties and municipalities. He is a Special Assistant Attorney General of the State of Georgia. He is a member of Grace Episcopal Church, is a supporter of Good News at Noon, Inc. homeless ministry, and has served as secretary and board member of Good News since 1991.
Tom Fitzgerald received the Charles N. Pursley Award in 2018 from the Eminent Domain Section of the State Bar of Georgia. The annual award recognizes outstanding contributions in the field of eminent domain and furtherance of the constitutional principles of just and adequate compensation.
